Ubi mel, ibi apes.
"Ubi mel, ibi apes" is a series of abstract landscapes by Joseph Farrugia, with the collaboration of millions of honey bees. To make the artwork, Joseph has developed special hives to interact with the honey bee colonies (each numbering 20-50,000 bees). This process takes multiple steps and months to render. The bones and teeth are incarnated energy and speak of life and death. Each artwork is of and about the land.
