Joseph David Providence Farrugia

"Incarnation" is a series of artworks created by artist and apiarist Joseph Farrugia, in collaboration with millions of honey bees. Humans have drawn energy and inspiration from honey bees for thousands of years and this primal relationship lays at the heart of this series. Joseph has designed and built his own modified hives to interact with honey bee colonies to assemble his artwork. Each artwork is an incarnation of the bee's and artists environment. This is created in multiple stages by using the bee's natural behaviours to add life to the art.
